Summer Program (14 days in Sevilla or Cádiz, Spain)
Students who have completed Spanish 4 can attend an independent summer program. The program is designed to familiarize students with the requirements of the AP course and content. Under the strict tutelage of the College Board, MundoLengua’s professors have developed a coherent program that fosters students’ abilities in the integration of the four skill-sets necessary for the exam (speaking, written composition, listening, and reading comprehension). Each day, students examine a different Spanish cultural theme of interest while practicing these skill sets. Students also work to perfect their knowledge of Spanish grammar, as well as increasing their vocabulary related to specific topics, culminating in a final oral presentation and a mock ‘mini-exam’.
While in Spain, students live with Spanish host families and take excursions to Cádiz and Tavira, Portugal. They get to tour world-famous sites and see a Flamenco show.
